A/V Setup 

  Robin's goal is to build a rapport with the audience and make it an experience they will long remember.
  Thank you for your willingness to work with us to make this a tremendous success.

Robin sings and plays his guitar during his presentation and this is a vital part of him delivering a successful program. With this in mind, it's important to have a Professional P.A. System to amplify his voice, music and guitar. Hotel ceiling speakers do not do this well, so please use a stand alone system with speakers mounted on speaker poles and a professional mixer for Robin's event. Robin brings with him all the necessary equipment for his voice, guitar, and computer audio. You just provide the PA System. See the AV List below.

  AUDIO VISUAL

  You provide the following...

• PA System (speakers on stands, not ceiling speakers) with at least a 4 Channel PA Mixer
• Any microphone YOU may need for announcements. Robin provides his own mic for his voice.
• High-Quality Projector and Large Screen for playback of video & media sources.

  ROOM SETUP

• Please provide a raised platform high enough to give audience members a clear, unobstructed view of Robin during the presentation when possible.
• Robin needs his computer ON STAGE next to him, so please provide a small table for his laptop & mixer.
• Keep the front row as close to the stage as is comfortably possible.
• Do not overset the room, it is better to have every seat filled than pockets of empty chairs.

  LIGHTING

• Audience should not be completely dark. Robin would like to be able to interact with the audience. When he can
  see their faces and make eye contact, participants generally are more engaged.
• Use additional light sources for the speaker. When Robin is illuminated more than the audience, listeners can see better and are less distracted.

  VIDEO OR AUDIO TAPING

• When video taping, Digital Video (DVCam / MiniDV) OR High Definition (HD / HDV) is the preferred format.
• Lighting is important. Speakers must be lit appropriately for an excellent picture.
• If recording, audio feed needs to come from the PA Mixer to the camera. (Please have the videographer discuss this with Robin.)

  PRESENTATION

• Robin likes to run through equipment and sound check at least 60 to 90 minutes before the presentation. This is vitally important. If there is any question about this, please let us know immediately.
