Just imagine the life of a meeting planner. Not only are they responsible for the on-going, day to day operation of their job dealing with the never ending details of producing a live event, but they have to sort through tons of speaker videos and packets trying to find the perfect fit for their audience.

How Much Does This Cost?

Well, it cost a lot. But a lot is a relative term. Now let me say this because it's true... IT'S NOT ABOUT THE COST. IT'S ABOUT THE VALUE! My Speaker Videos deliver an incredible return on your investment. YOU WILL NOT LOSE! You will actually MAKE MONEY! That's right, but you have to act first and INVEST in YOURSELF!

The national average in the video production business for a non-broadcast corporate type video, you can ballpark between $1400 to $2500 per minute. So a ten-minute video would run between $14k and $25K.

This is a very standard cost analysis used in the professional video industry to estimate the expense before getting into the details of the project. The problem with this example FOR SPEAKERS is glaring. Most speakers aren't corporations with deep pockets, so this price point is out of reach for most speakers. Therefore, compromises have to take place. Most producers would cut corners to reduce the cost and unfortunately the final product would reflect this.

Fortunately, I have a solution. Because I'm also a speaker and performance coach, I don't derive my full income from video production anymore, AND because I have devoted myself to this industry, I can offer my expertise at a reduced rate.

But it is still not cheap. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" still applies in most cases today and video production is no different.

Bottom line, I have developed three price plans that should allow everyone an opportunity to get a great speaker video at a price anyone can afford. The basic difference is in the length of the video, the amount of original footage reviewed and the amount of "bells & whistle" that goes into it.

All of that adding up to this. For me and my team, it is about EXPERTISE & TIME. In addition to the creativity, technical skills and industry knowledge it takes to produce a speaker video, it is about the expertise & time involved.

On average, a 6 to 8 minute finished master video takes about 7-9 business days to complete (including original material review, digitizing footage, developing the concept, editing, graphics, music, scripting, voice over narration, render time and final review prior to duplication). A 9 to 11 minute project take about 10-12 days and a 12 to 17 minute piece takes about 3 weeks for completion.

My speaking fee runs between $9,000 - $12,500 and I have no problem asking my clients to pay this amount. They get great content, an entertaining performance and take-away knowledge that will lead to a bigger bottom line for the individual & the company. But once the event is complete, it is over, never to be relived again (outside of video taping the event of course).

Yet, the amount I will ask you to pay me for my services will have a long lasting effect on you and your business. Your expense will gain you income time and time again. As I said before, your video will pay for itself many times over.

So, Here's The Deal

Realizing the limited price point most individuals have to spend, I have limited your exposure while still guaranteeing your happiness and profitability with your product.

The Three Packages Are As Follows...

Using your own footage, all videos will include:

  • Opening graphics with moving backgrounds;
  • Your name & title:
  • Area of expertise;
  • Cool theme music on Open & Close;
  • Various transitions (dissolves, page turns, wipes, spins, etc.);
  • EXPERT CONTENT SELECTION; and
  • Film style, multi-camera look.

The basic difference between each version is the total length, the addition of a professional voice over narration during your introduction and the inclusion of narrated "video brochure"... a short (30 seconds to 2 minute) video collage detailing your credentials. This might include any books or products you've written or developed, television appearances, career highlights, etc.


Package One - A 6-8 minute total production starting with a handful of short "sound bytes" of your best material produced in a quick cutting format. Then select excerpts of your best moments on stage speaking. This video has no voice over or "video brochure." It features you onstage speaking.

Package Two - A 9-11 minute version. Same as the first, but longer and more descriptive speaking clips. Plus, a short (30 second) "video brochure" production detailing your credentials.

Package Three - A 12-15 minute version. Same as version two, but longer, more detail and more production value. Plus, a 1-2 minute "video brochure" production detailing your credentials.


The discounted production fee for each video is $9,000, $10,500 & $12,000 respectively.

Now you must understand, what has been described here are just the basics. Each video will be produced using these guidelines, but will be unique unto itself offering each speaker a product that is completely their own. THIS IS NOT "TEMPLATE" TYPE PRODUCTIONS! Each video is different. I spend time with each speaker determining their unique message and what it is they want to convey and then begin from scratch a production that will be entirely their own. What I have tried to do here is to offer some general guidelines for you to understand how I work.

Now I must say, some of you will still balk at these prices. That's okay, but don't call me. Call your son's baseball coach who has a home video camera and edits your kids ballgame and maybe he can work something out for you.

I'm sorry to be so brash, but like me, you probably charge thousands of dollars for a 60-minute keynote presentation. So don't insult me when I will spend, not hours, but days on an INCOME producing product for YOUR business. I will spend tedious creative time developing a crucial marketing tool that will have a great ROI for YOU.

It is definitely worth three or more times your keynote fee, so when I discount the price to over half of what the market will bear, I don't want to hear your complaints.

If you can't afford this discounted price, hey, I understand. Times are tough right now for many of us. I suggest you start putting back a few dollars every month and when you're ready give me a call. Just don't make a bad decision and go the baseball coach route. You'll regret it. Wait until you can afford the real thing. But don't wait long.

How Does This Work?

First of all, there is a 50% deposit to begin the process. You then send me all of your footage you want considered on DVCam, MiniDV or DVD format. We'll discuss your situation, your message points and your brand. We'll determine what is your area of expertise and what is the message you want to convey to meeting planners.

I'll then review all of the footage and offer my opinion about the direction of the video. Once we are confirmed on the concept, any voice over script and some other minor details, I'll begin the edit process and within a week I'll deliver to you, viewable online a "rough cut" of the video... what I call a clean version of the concept. Music, graphics and the video excerpts will be in its complete form, but if there is voice over to be used, only a rough version will be given at this point. The final professional voice will be added once everything has been approved.

This rough cut is from where any additional edit decisions will be made. Usually there are only minor tweaks here & there to complete the process. This is because our due diligence has been thorough in developing the original concept. Once we have agreed on any final changes, the remaining 50% balance is due. I complete the final edit making any changes, make a Digital Master of the video, two DVD copies and an web version so you can view it from your website. Once payment has been received, I FedEx the masters to you. We can handle your DVD duplication or you can duplicate them with whoever you like. You own the Master, but I keep a backup copy for you, so whenever you want to update your video, I'll be ready.

Pretty simple and straight forward. This is really no different from how you and I work with speaking clients. We hear their problem or pain; accept their challenge to help remedy their area of lack and receive a deposit check to confirm; develop the plan on how we will "fix the problem," implement the plan via the speaking engagment; and receive the final payment for doing so. The same applies with my video production services, except you keep using the solution over and over again gaining new income source every time you send it out. Pretty cool if you ask me!
