Robin sings and plays his guitar during his presentation. This is a vital part of him delivering a successful program. With this in mind, it's important to have a Professional P.A. System to amplify his voice, music, and guitar. Hotel ceiling speakers do not do this well, so please use a professional PA system with quality speakers and a professional mixer for Robin's event. Robin brings with him all the necessary equipment for his 2 guitars and his Apple computer audio. Also, joining Robin is a keyboard/vocalist who will bring with him 1 electric keyboard & stand. You provide the PA System, 1 Wireless Headset Mic System for Robin, 1 Microphone & Stand (or wireless system) for keyboardist, 4 XLR Mic Cables for Direct Box connections to PA, and the Video Projector & Screen(s) with appropriate connection cables. See the AV List below.
ROBIN & Keyboardist will bring with them…
1 Electric & 1 Acoustic Guitar, effects pedals and 2 Direct boxes to plug into your Snake or Mixer.
1 Electric Keyboard with 1 Direct box to plug into your Snake or Mixer.
1 Apple Laptop Computer with PowerPoint for Video & Audio Playback and 1 Direct Box to connect computer audio to your Snake or Mixer. He also brings 1 Apple VGA adapter to connect video to projector.
YOU provide the following...
1 PA System (not ceiling speakers) with at least a 6 Channel PA Mixer.
1 Wireless Headset Microphone System for Robin’s voice. He SINGS & speaks so the Headset Microphone is better than a normal Lavalier Microphone for this purpose.
1 Wireless Headset Microphone System OR Microphone & Boomstand for Keyboard Vocals.
4 XLR microphone cables that run from the PA or Snake to plug into their 4 Direct Boxes on stage. This sends the Audio signals from Robin’s 2 guitars, 1 computer, and 1 keyboard to your PA System.
1 High-Quality Video Projector & Large Screen for playback of Video. (Screens need to be set to the side of stage, not the center unless it’s 6 feet above stage or uses rear projection. This is so Robin won’t be walking through the light of the projector as he moves around on the stage.)
Robin needs his computer positioned on stage next to him, so please provide a small table for his laptop. Or it can be place at the back of the room with him controlling advancement of the slides IF there is a video monitor on stage for his preview.
Video Recording is welcomed if Robin receives a copy of the Master for his own use. If this is agreed upon, then the video can also be used for playback within the organization at no additional charge.
Video Recording
When video recording… Digital Video or HD Video is the preferred format. Lighting is important, so please light the stage area as much as possible for video & audience viewing. Audio for Video needs to come from house PA Mixer to camera instead of just from camera audio. (Please have AV discuss with Robin if more info is needed.)
Set Up & Sound Check
Robin needs to run through equipment setup & sound check at least 90 minutes before the presentation. This is vitally important to prevent any AV issues. If there are questions about this, please let him know ASAP.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO MAKE ROBIN’S PRESENTATION A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
