Dear Fellow Speaker,
Here at Robin Creasman Productions we take pride in delivering First-Class Speaker Videos That Rock for all of our clients. And we are proud of the fact that since 2001, we have produced over 140 speaker videos and call all of our clients close friends! Hopefully, your name will be added to our list soon!
The purpose of this letter is to outline the process of working with us to produce for you a FIRST-CLASS SPEAKER VIDEO THAT ROCKS!
This letter is not to "sell" you on what we have done as producers in the speaking industry, but simply to explain our process, workflow, and pricing.
If you haven’t reviewed some of our speaker videos, please check out our demo video page…

YOUR CALLING CARD FOR SUCCESS
You do realize that speaker bureaus & meeting planners all agree that the single most important marketing tool for getting booked as a professional speaker is the speaker video right? This single tool can "make or break you" when it comes to being reviewed by those who make the decision to hire speakers.
There are plenty of stories of well-known & highly regarded celebrities, authors and so-called experts whose speaker video "un-sold" them to the meeting planner. Their credibility was lost because of a bad video... be it from poor production, weak content or lack-luster presentation skills, the results were the same. NO BOOKING!
A speaker video is the ultimate "calling card" for professional speakers. Without one you are not considered to be a "real speaker." With a "not-so-good" one you are considered a "bad speaker."
THE VIDEO
For clarity sake, what we are delivering in this promotion is not some “cookie cutter boring video,” but our top-of-the-line first-class speaker video production that rocks!

As we all know, the digital video world is changing ever so quickly with the advent of YouTube & web videos. VHS delivery is gone and even DVDs are becoming less important now that online videos can deliver a better than average quality experience. Yet, it’s extremely important (maybe even more so now) to produce a product that stands out from all the average and consumer type videos we see on the web. As a speaker, you only get a couple of minutes to sell the sizzle to your viewer or you lose and they move on.
So we have found that delivering a high-quality, fast moving 7 - 10 minute video (we are not tied to an absolute length here, but definitely under 10 minutes because YouTube now limits videos to 10 minutes in duration!), taken from various venues offering the best-of-the-best of your message, coupled with a short video bio telling “your story,” and packaged into a cool and relevant presentation style is the best way to go for web viewing and to sell the sizzle to your viewer.
THE GOAL
The goal of your speaker video is to get you into what I call “The Maybe Pile” and to keep you out of “The Trash Pile”. Your video is not the only thing that will get you the gig, but it can be the one thing that causes you to lose the gig. Sell the sizzle and leave them wanting more! Follow that with a great one sheet, website & program description and you’ll be Rocking!
THE PRICE
The pricing on our videos range from $5k - $10k depending on what you need and the time involved. Give me a call and we can discuss the specifics of your situation.
THE PRODUCTION PROCESS
On average, for our top of the line videos, the total production time will be approximately two weeks. This gives us time to digitize all your footage into our editing system, log and review the footage and begin to understand your message and formulate how to proceed (first 3 days). We’ll want to have a phone conversation with you to discuss the direction of the project and hear from you your goals for the video, learn your message points, understand your audience and to hear “your story.”
We’ll then proceed into the first stage of building the video and adding in the various elements to enhance the look, sound, and presentation value allowing you to stand out and represent you at your best (next 3 days). On or about the 6th or 7th day of production we will send you via a web link, what we call a rough-cut review of the final video for you to watch, which in reality will look like the finished version of the video. This will be your chance to make any general changes in messaging, music, content, graphics, etc. But we want you to see a high quality version of the video so you don’t have to make any assumptions as to what we are “going to do.” You will see it just like a meeting planner will. This rough-cut version will give you a chance to see it in all its glory, but you’ll still be able to make corrections if need be. Also note... because of all the communication we've had throughout the production process, you'll already have a good feel for how the video will look, but it's always nice to be pleasantly surprised!
THE REVIEW PROCESS
In general, because we have been diligent in our pre-production phone meeting with you (and in additional conversations throughout the production process) to get a clear understanding of who you are and what your message is all about, this rough-cut review is usually 90% on the mark. On occasion we may need to change a piece of music, graphic color, or correct a misspelling or something here and there, but it’s usually pretty close to being ready to finalize.
Once you get a copy of the rough-cut video, we ask that you look it over and return your comments within 24-36 hours. Because you will be reviewing a “web” video, you will have access to view it from any location and can forward it to anyone to get their opinion.
As you can imagine, video production is a very subjective business. Although, one person may have a different opinion about a video, unless it’s “bad,” it’s rarely “wrong.” It just might not be what was expected. This is why we strive to communicate what we will deliver to you in advance to you actually seeing the rough cut. Our initial pre-production meeting (and additional phone calls) will serve both of us in knowing what to expect. This is how we’ve been successful in delivering a rough-cut review video that is 95% on the mark for the majority of our clients.
Question… What happens if after viewing the rough cut a client changes their mind and asks for the video to go into a different direction than what was originally discussed? This is okay, but we will need to re-address the project pricing and timeline and work on an additional hourly basis for the “new” video. But there is NO EXTRA charge for tweaking and perfecting the original idea to your satisfaction. I only mention this to set parameters. And I can honestly say this has happened only twice in over 140 videos that we’ve produced and should not be an issue for you to worry about.
THE FINAL PROCESS
So the process will be that once we deliver to you the rough cut review video and you get back to us within 24-36 hours your suggestions or corrections, then we will go into the final production stage and finish out all the changes the following day and send you the revised version for you to sign off on. At this point your final balance is due.
Lastly, we will output and author the DVD Master and process your QuickTime online Video Masters for your website. We'll then ship everything, including your source footage, back to you via FedEx and you’ll be good to go! Not to worry though, we will hold onto your archived footage in a digital form for future updates when needed.
LAST THOUGHTS
As I mentioned earlier, we have produced over 140 speaker videos at this point and we feel confident in that we “know” the speaker market and will do our very best to position you in your best light regarding your content selection, production style and imaging. We know what meeting planners are looking for and many times it’s hard for the speaker to see what they do with fresh eyes because they are too close to it and this gives us a great opportunity to partner with you in helping you tell your story in the best way possible.
Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions because this is Your Video & we are serving You!
So now, the only thing left for you to do is to decide if you want us as your producers for your next speaker video.
ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS 2 THINGS TO GET STARTED...
1. Follow the link on this page to send me an email and tell me you are interested. Once I receive your email, I will give you a call to discuss your situation and then I’ll send you a simple letter agreement that outlines our plans to work together..
2. Next you'll sign the letter agreement and send a check or your credit card number with a 50% deposit. This will officiate our agreement and we'll begin to begin.
That’s all it takes to get started. We will discuss the details about your footage, message, goals, direction, target audience, style, etc., once your deposit has been received.
So, if you are considering producing a new speaker video this year, then let me hear from you! We can work out the timeline and details that fits your schedule. But don’t wait. Get on the schedule NOW. ☺
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. I look forward to hearing from you.
Rock On,
Robin
